Sinossi / Synopsis

Ania chiama il suo amico Kolia e gli chiede di venire ad aprire la porta del balcone dove è bloccata. Entra nell'appartamento e dice alla sua amica Marina che non è sicura che il loro piano sia buono. 30 minuti sul balcone le cambiano la vita. Kolia le propone.

Ania calls her friend Kolia and asks him to come and open the door to the balcony where she is stuck. She comes into the flat and tells her friend Marina that she is not sure if their plan is good. 30 minutes on the balcony changes her life. Kolia proposes to her.

Biografia del regista / Director Biography

Sergei Tymchenko è nato nel sud dell'Ucraina in una piccola città di Golaia Prystan nel 1981. Fin da bambino si è interessato alla musica, alla fotografia e al disegno, e ha deciso di collegare la sua vita professionale con le scienze, essendo stato educato come un ingegnere presso l'Università tecnica nazionale dell'Ucraina (2003). Non ci sono voluti nemmeno 5 anni perché i suoi hobby e la creatività della sua infanzia in combinazione con il potenziale delle attrezzature per riprese fotografiche e video si manifestassero. Mentre studiava e si esercitava a girare, è passato da cameraman del canale televisivo regionale a manager della propria produzione video, e alla fine ha lasciato l'ingegneria. Nel 2013 si è laureato al Kiev Institute of Screen Arts intitolato a I.Mykolaichuk con un diploma di regista e televisivo. Ha lavorato come regista nel canale televisivo "112 Ucraina" presso il dipartimento di produzione non in studio per 4 anni e, dopo aver lasciato la TV, il vettore della sua attività si è spostato verso la produzione cinematografica. Inoltre, si è cimentato come direttore del montaggio (clip musicale, documentario, spettacolo di viaggio) e come cameraman (serie, lungometraggio). Tra i suoi lavori di regista ci sono documentari, progetti TV, video pubblicitari e promozionali e anche film di presentazione commerciale per aziende.

Sergei Tymchenko was born in the South of Ukraine in a small town Golaia Prystan in 1981. Since he was a child, he was interested in music, photography and drawing, and he decided to connect his professional life with hard science, having been educated as an engineer at National Technical University of Ukraine (2003). It didn’t even take 5 years for his childhood hobbies and creativity in combination with photo and video shooting equipment potential to show up. While he was educating himself and practicing shooting, he rose from the regional TV-channel cameraman to the manager of his own video production, and he finally quit engineering. In 2013 he graduated from Kiev Institute of Screen Arts named after I.Mykolaichuk with a Director of film and television degree. He’s been working as a director on TV-channel ‘112 Ukraine’ at the non-studio production department for 4 years, and after leaving TV, the vector of his activity shifted towards film production. Also, he tried himself as an editing director (music clip, documentary, travel show) and as a cameraman (series, feature film). Among his director’s works there are documentaries, TV-projects, advertising and promo videos, and also commercial presentation films for companies.

Ho scelto questa sceneggiatura tra dozzine di altre, ho investito i miei fondi nell'adattamento cinematografico e non ho rimpianti. "The balcony" - è una bella storia di vita, che può capitare a tutti. Potresti sbagliare, e quando il tempo passa, potresti capire che hai davvero bisogno di raggiungere un posto, che ora non è così facile da raggiungere, perché i ponti sono stati bruciati. Per quanto mi riguarda, “The balcony” è prezioso nel predicare i migliori valori umani: una vera amicizia, onestà e capacità di perdonare. Sono soddisfatto di quello che ho ottenuto finora. Ed è uno sforzo di tutta la squadra, in particolare i nostri attori unici, che mettono un pezzo di se stessi nei loro personaggi.

I’ve chosen this script among dozens of other, put my own funds into the film adaptation and I have no regrets. “The balcony” - is a good life story, which can happen to everyone. You may mess up, and when time goes by, you may realize that you really need to get to some place, which is now not that easy to get to, because the bridges were burned. As for me, “The Balcony” is valuable in preaching the best human values: a true friendship, honesty and the ability to forgive. I am pleased with what I’ve got so far. And it’s a whole team effort, especially our unique actors, who put a piece of themselves into their characters.
